The Crown is located at the end of the Metropolitan Line, 50 minutes from London and 25 minutes from Heathrow by car, with easy access to the M40. There are regular and direct trains and tubes from Amersham to London Marylebone taking 35 minutes.
The Crown is an Elizabethan, Grade II listed building with some tricky access points. That said, we welcome absolutely everybody and do our utmost to work around the limitations of the old building in order to be accessible for all. Charity
Set up by Milli’s parents and in loving memory of their dear child and our friend Milli, a very special eleven year old girl who passed away in April 2012 with a brain-stem tumour, we ask you to make two pledges. The first pledge you must make to yourself, something that will enrich your own life and the people around you – spend more time with your family for example or live every day like it is your last. Secondly, we ask you to donate to one of two
charities who have made a difference to thousands of families lives – Great Ormond Street (the wonderful children’s hospital and charity in London) and Rays of Sunshine (a charity which purchases specialist equipment and fulfils the last wishes of terminally or seriously ill

On the 31st March our Finance Director, Laurence Clark, embarked on a journey to climb the highest mountain in the world – Everest! The trip will take 2 months, with Laurence hoping to reach the summit around the 15th May. He aims to raise £20,000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust. Dhillon Group is proud to support Magic Bus, a charity that changes lives through sport. Through weekly outdoor activity sessions, children and youth are empowered in the areas of education, gender and health. Magic Bus each year, with the help of the Dhillon Group, will reach out to over 150,000 children and young people throughout India, giving them the tools to improve not only their lives but those of entire communities. Dhillon Group also sponsored Cupcake – one of the colourful Elephant sculptures made by the Elephant Family charity and placed around central London last year to be sold off to save the Asian elephant from extinction in the wild. At the auction night the Dhillon Group also bid for Layla whose home is now the grounds of Stoke Place!
Last Christmas The Olde Bell, Stoke Place and The Crown did something special for some of our private dining customers. Rather than provide crackers we decided to support a charity called LivLife by purchasing Christmas Crowns from their tailoring course to give to our guests over Christmas. LivLife is a Northern Tanzanian grassroots organisation which provides kindergarten education, young adult education and vocational courses to the underprivileged. The revenue generated from the three hotels combined will singlehandedly run the tailoring course for 6 months. To view pictures of the wonderful hats...
