Since the coaching inns are based around eating and drinking, The Crown has the perfect philosophy for all celebrations – drink until you are merry and eat until you are full! We can accommodate up to 40 for breakfast, lunch or supper in our Back Room with inglenook fire while the smaller Bailey Room located in the courtyard can seat up to 14 people and is ideal for our feasting menus. For larger events the Market Hall opposite the Inn is available for dining parties of up to 90 people. Each of the rooms can be flexibly adapted to each party’s needs.

Our seasonal food offering is locally sourced where possible and always bespoke to the individual party. We offer standard 3 course meals but also sharing dishes, for example big shoulders of lamp and dishes of potato gratin with seasonal greens.

Consisting of 37 bedrooms and several public rooms arranged around a cobbled courtyard with summer kitchen, The Crown can be hired for private exclusive events for up to 120 people.
